ADMISSION POLICY & INFORMATION

  • The Gauteng Department of Education’s requirements are met by our school’s admissions policy. Residents of the school’s NATURAL CATCHMENT AREA are given preference by the school. By way of registered roads or access, this is the region that is closest to the school. We don’t make distinctions based on gender, color, or religion. Students are only admitted if there are spaces available.
  • Please be aware that this form is solely for applications and NOT for enrollment. To properly enroll a kid in our school, an enrollment contract must be filled out and turned in.
  • An applicant or learner must meet the age requirements of the grade they are applying for.

  • When it is judged essential, applicants may be asked to participate in an entry exam or interview with the principal.

  • The most current academic report and transfer cards from prior institutions will be considered, if appropriate.

  • Prior to the confirmation of complete registration, non-South African citizens must obtain residence or study permits.

  • A school’s approval of an application for admission DOES NOT IMPLY acceptance of the applicant.

  • Before enrolling, students and parents must be at ease with the school’s fundamental morals and regulations.

  • Fees for registration, administration, and the library are not refundable.
  • A complete calendar month must pass before the child is dismissed from school in order to give written notice of intent to stop studying or deregister. Deregistration is only permitted with the principal’s and parent’s consent.

The overarching rule for admission to City Rand College is that offers of places will be offered to students who, in the Principal’s judgment, are best suited to the educational model at City Rand College.

There shall be no discrimination against boys or girls based on their ethnicity, religion, or disability throughout the admissions process. The school’s admissions policy is followed before making any admissions.

CITY RAND COLLEGE  is an Independent Ordinary combined School, registered with the Gauteng Department of Education operating in Johannesburg.
