Our guiding principle is to make sure that each child’s physical, emotional, and educational requirements are completely recognized and met during the foundation Phase. We acknowledge that every aspect of a child’s learning and development is significant and that kids learn best when they feel liked and cared for in the classroom.

Our imaginative teaching methods, in which the kids actively participate, are at the core of what we do, and our Creative Curriculum is created to inspire and engage. We are proud of what we do here, so we were thrilled to have the Department of Education officials endorse our “Outstanding” grade.

Our kids thrive in a relaxed, purposeful setting with a friendly, inviting “family feel,” where they are taught by enthusiastic, creative teachers who have a genuine interest in the kids in their care.

We celebrate love and care at City Rand College. Every youngster has the chance to identify and nurture their special skills. We recognise that our school places a high importance on one objective above all others: the happiness of our students. You will find evidence of happy, focused young children everywhere, so we know we are successful. We think it’s because they are so content that they like working hard and successfully cultivate the optimistic attitudes and self-assurance needed to succeed both now and in the future. Our classes are small, and every teacher is thoroughly qualified.

At this point, the academic focus is on the fundamentals of literacy and numeracy. writing and reading abilities. Our extensive and varied curriculum, in which every child participates in Art, DT, Outdoor Education, and PE, is one of our strengths.

From the beginning, we keep a keen eye out for kids who might experience learning issues as well as those who may have special skills that could benefit from being developed before their peers.

Because we have small class sizes, we can easily accommodate kids with a range of skills. Lessons are engaging, fascinating, and fun. Visits and field trips are used to pique the kids’ curiosity and imagination.
